Lexus RX 350 earns top rating from the IIHS .

Lexus RX has just been adjudged the top safety pick in the latest crash test conducted by Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS). Once again, underscoring the outstanding safety of Lexus vehicles. To be eligible for the top safety pick rating, a vehicle must feature electronic stability control and receive good ratings after front, side and rear tests.

The tested RX 350 featured front and rear head curtain airbags, as well as front and rear seat-mounted torso airbags, electronic stability control, antilock brakes, daytime running lights, driver and passenger knee airbags and rollover sensor.

The RX350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which helps it develops a maximum power of 275 hp combined with 35.5 Kgm of torque.

Lexus RX 350 possesses a smooth and sophisticated personality. This is first and foremost a luxury vehicle, and as such the suspension is tuned more for a plush ride than sporty handling. Performance is swift and silent.

The rear seats have sliding and reclining adjustments with folding down function. The 60/40 split rear seats cause the corresponding seat cushion to drop down, further enlarging the luggage space that has been designed with ample width for optimum ease of use. Three child restraint anchors are on the rear of the seat.
